Garden centres celebrate GCA award success

Award-winning garden centres, including Barton Grange (above) and Fron Goch (below), have been celebrating their prestigious GCA successes this week.

The winners of the Garden Centre Association’s most prestigious awards including its Garden Centres of Excellence were announced at its annual conference.

The awards ceremony took place at the De Vere Wokefield Estate, Reading.

Chief Executive at the GCA, Peter Burks, says: “We had a wonderful evening crowning our overall champion of champions and our ‘Garden Centres of Excellence’ winners. They have all been recognised for their amazing dedication to delivering the very best within our industry and they couldn’t be more deserving of these fabulous awards.

“We were also delighted to announce our Associate of the Year, as voted for by our member garden centres and to present our Worrall Cup to the garden centre the judges’ felt entered the best marketing too.

“We had a great second day at our 2025 conference. I’d like to thank our sponsors for helping make it all happen, especially Taylors Bulbs for sponsoring the day, The Horti House for our stage plants, Davidson Richards for helping keep us well fuelled by sponsoring our morning tea/coffee break, Quinton Edwards for our Tuesday champagne reception and Bon Bon’s for our delicious after-dinner chocolates. They all played a vital role in ensuring our Tuesday went so well, thank you.”
