TV gardener Danny Clarke will be helping to launch a Rose for Hope at a Hertfordshire garden centre which is raising vital funds for a cause close to his heart – Brain Tumour Research.
Danny, who shot to fame in 2015 as BBC’s Instant Gardener, will be among gardening enthusiasts at the launch event at Burston Garden Centre in St Albans from 10am-1pm on Friday 24 March.
Jill Wharfe, Burston's Customer Services Manager, said: "We have been supporting Brain Tumour Research here at Burston since 2021, due to Shay Emerton being diagnosed with a brain tumour in the spring of that year.
"Along with a lot of fundraising along the way, we have linked with a grower to have a dedicated rose called the Rose for Hope developed. That beautiful rose is now ready and we are excited to be able to launch it here on Friday 24th March.
"Brain Tumour Research have arranged for Danny Clarke, who is a celebrity gardener and one of the charity ambassadors, to be here for the launch, and he will be joined by Shay.
