BGC Blooms at Rugby

Hundreds of customers braved the cold winds to queue around the car park at Rugby Garden Centre on Saturday, waiting for the official re-opening under new ownership of British Garden Centres.

Gardening TV personality David Domoney carried out the ribbon cutting ceremony, allowing the queuing customers into the centre to see efforts of a four week turn around at the site.

By 10:30am customers were streaming through the tills with trolleys full of plants and products, the restaurant was almost full of happy customers and the new Outdoor Living showroom (in a section of the centre that Dobbies had closed off) was busy taking orders for furniture and bbq’s.

Many customers commented on how good it was to see the centre back to how it was when it was a Blooms Garden Centre, saying the choice of plants and products was very good and the prices were good too.

See GTN Xtra’s photo tour of the centre and the opening ceremony below.
