Ex-Miracle-Gro man cancels early retirement to back Natural Grower's sales drive
Natural Grower has confirmed a distribution deal with Decco for its organic fertiliser, a by-product of a renewable energy plant that is fed with maize to generate electricity for the National Grid.
The business, launched last year with certification from Organic Farmers and Growers, The Vegan Society and the Soil Association, won the GIMA Innovators award last September.
Natural Grower is also now working with Neil Sims (pictured left and on cover page), who worked for Scotts Miracle-Gro (now Evergreen Garden Care) for more than 20 years and has come out of early retirement to use his wide experience of the trade to help new-start or smaller businesses gain a foothold in the garden products market. “We have found Neil’s help and advice invaluable and anticipate great times ahead working with him to promote the brand in the market,” said Charlotte Beaty, a director of Natural Grower.
