Blue Diamond site at Alnwick gets go ahead

Planning perission for the Blue Diamond Garden Centre at Alnwick on the Northumberland Estates retail development has been granted.  The Northumberland Gazette reported: "Plans to build the ‘premier garden centre in the North East’ on the outskirts of Alnwick have received the green light.

When built and opened the centre will become the 50th Blue Diamond Garden Centre after the group added three centres last month: Harlestone Heath and Huntingdon from Dobbies and Yarnton Garden Centre.

Blue Diamond Managing Director Alan Roper told GTN Xtra that after a full Blue Diamond refurb the Harlestone Heath and Huntingdon centres will re-open late March early April.
