Greenfingers seeks sponsors and players to support the launch of new Golf Day

The Greenfingers Charity has announced it will host its first-ever Golf Day at Staverton Park on Thursday, 15th April 2027, bringing keen golfers and businesses together for a fun-filled event to help further fund the creation of magical gardens at children’s hospices across the UK.

Players are invited to enter individually or in teams of two for a day of golf, friendly competition and fundraising, with every player who participates helping to make a difference to children with life-limiting conditions, their families and carers.

The inaugural event offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy time on the course with friends, colleagues and fellow supporters, whilst raising vital funds for a charity whose gardens provide precious places to play, care, learn, grow and remember.

Linda Petrons, Director of Fundraising & Communications at Greenfingers Charity said: “We’re delighted to be launching our first Greenfingers Golf Day and look forward to welcoming familiar faces and new supporters to Staverton Park. It promises to be a fantastic day, bringing people together for some friendly competition while supporting a cause close to all our hearts.

“Every team that joins us and every sponsor who lends their support will help us create more magical gardens where children and families can enjoy precious time together. We’d love to hear from anyone keen to play, sponsor the event or donate a prize.”

As well as inviting players to sign up, Greenfingers is also calling on businesses and individuals to support the Golf Day through sponsorship.

Backing this debut event offers businesses an opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to the charity’s work and connect with its supporters. Greenfingers would welcome conversations with organisations interested in sponsorship packages, donating prizes or contributing to the day in other ways.

Whether entering a team or becoming a sponsor, showing your support for this dedicated new fundraising initiative will help Greenfingers bring the benefits of beautiful outdoor spaces to more children and families.
