Donating 50% of proceeds to Ukraine disaster fund

Batsford Arboretum in Gloucestershire is donating 50% of its proceeds today ( Sunday 13th March) to the UK Disaster and Emergencies Committee (DEC) to help those affected by the conflict in Ukraine.

This time of year, visitors to the 56-acre North Cotswolds arboretum can enjoy an abundance of daffodils, plus crocus and hellebores, as well as early-flowering magnolia and cherry trees.

The charity who manage the arboretum, The Batsford Foundation, will donate 50% of the takings from the arboretum admissions on Sunday 13th March with a pledged to donate a minimum of £5,000 to the DEC.

Director of Operations at Batsford, Stuart Priest, says “Along with the rest of the nation, we’ve been horrified by the recent suffering in Ukraine and, as a business, we wanted to show our support to those suffering as a result of the conflict, we feel it's the least we can do.”
