New regional sales agent for Henry Bell

Henry Bell Wild Bird Care welcomes Mike Mills to its national network of sales agents, representing the brand across Kent and East and West Sussex, with sole responsibility for garden centre and country store customers in the region.

“This is big Henry Bell country,” said Mike. “So there are plenty of accounts to look after and they are a real mixture. Some belong to buying groups, while others are smaller independents. It certainy helps that Henry Bell stock availability is so good, delivery times are brilliant and it’s a nice company to work with. There’s a definite family feel and everyone seems so supportive.

“Customers have really bought into the brand, as they like the quality of Henry Bell products and their sleek, professional packaging, which looks fantastic on store shelves.”

Mike, who set up his own business, Mills Agencies, just a few months ago, has extensive experience of garden centres and began working in them straight after leaving school. “I started as a weekend till operator and then progressed to deputy manager positions before crossing over to the other side as a merchandiser and sales representative for Apta, a leading trade supplier of garden pottery,” he added. For the last four years, Mike was a sales agent for Wilson Agencies.

“We are delighted to welcome Mike aboard,” said Henry Bell National Sales Manager Andrew Mellowes. “He is a tremendous asset to the company, bringing a fresh pair of eyes, a broad knowledge base and a huge amount of enthusiasm. Mike is popular with all our accounts and well-liked and respected by members of the Henry Bell team.”

Mike lives in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, with his wife and three children. When he is not working, he enjoys spending leisure time with his family and catching a good movie.

Garden centres in Mike’s area wishing to find out more about becoming a Henry Bell stockist should contact him by emailing mike@mills-agencies.co.uk.
