Alexander Rose factory workers homeless after hurricane disaster
Outdoor living suppliers Alexander Rose are mounting a rescue package for workers from their Phillipines factory who were made homeless in the hurricane disaster.
“It has been awful,” a spokesman told GTN Xtra. “Thankfully no one was killed at the Alexander Rose factory but many of the workers homes have been destroyed. People’s lives out there have been completely shattered.”
Donations from friends, staff and suppliers will be used to re-build some of the workers' homes and enable the company's local management to supply food and water to other nearby victims of the disaster.
The factory suffered only minor damage and will be back to full production next week, ensuring supplies to the UK are unaffected.
