Fordingbridge completes ambitious upgrade works at Trowell Garden Centre

Leading garden centre rejuvenation experts, Fordingbridge, have just completed their third upgrade project for Trowell Garden Centre in Nottingham. The major works, started in January this year, involved transforming two original canopies –installed by Fordingbridge circa 20 years ago – into hard roofing to create a vast new, fully insulated extension to the centre.

The extended area will add a total of 200 m2 to the centre’s popular Digg café and external plant sales area, enabling the garden centre to capitalise on its most popular areas, that brings people into the centre year-round.

The works also involved the addition of a five span trellis canopy adjoining the newly extended café area to enable the centre to create an impressive new showcase area for seasonal planting and furniture right next to its popular café.

Owners of Trowell Garden Centre, David and Barbara Henshaw, said: “This new area has totally transformed the experience we can offer our tens of thousands of visitors and will hopefully bring in even more. As ever, the team at Fordingbridge were super professional and the speed at which the project was completed was really impressive.”

CEO of Fordingbridge commented: “If you’re looking to create new year-round retail and café spaces, upgrading existing canopied areas can be a great, very cost-effective solution. It keeps costs and disruption to a minimum and as Trowells newly enhanced Diggs café proves, the end result can be stunning.”
