WW1: Trelawney say it with poppies
Staff at Trelawney Garden Centre at Wadebridge, Cornwall this week sowed 40,000 Flanders poppy seeds around the entrance to commemorate the 100th anniversary of World War 1.
General manager Peter Burks says it will be a fitting way to remember all those that were lost. Trelawney@Wadebridge will have 1,000 packets of Flanders poppy seeds in stock and 12 other varieties such as ‘Ladybird’, “Coral Reef’, ‘Orientale’, ‘Brilliant’ and blue meconopsis (the Himalayan Poppy) for customers to purchase to help mark the event.
