We are seeking an outstanding Plantarea Manager for our client, they are a leading independent garden centre group who have a well stocked plantarea, a popular restaurant , along with a garden shop that offers customers a range of quality gifts and garden sundries. They are very much a destination centre but have a strong horticultural customer base and take over a 1/3 of their income from the plant department. They are currently looking for a superb plants person to take charge of the Plantarea and make this an super customer experience for their visitors.
The Role
- Will be to manage the plantarea on a day to day basis ensuring plant stock is in tip top condition and merchandised to a high standard.
- Liaise with the group Buyer on managing supplies, stocking and plant choices.
- Supervising staff and ensuring that customer services are kept to a very high standard.
The Candidate
- For this role candidates must have:
- A proven track-record in the industry along with good man-management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent plant knowledge and a good background in horticultural retailing is a must for this role.
- Superb plant merchandising skills.
- Be a team player with the ability to offer superb customer service.
