Hillier announced as retail partner for GIMA’s next Buyer Connect event

GIMA has confirmed that Hillier, the UK’s fourth-largest garden centre chain, will be the featured retailer at the next Buyer Connect event, taking place on Tuesday, 17th June 2025.

Set against the backdrop of Hillier Botley Garden Centre in Southampton, this event is one of several Buyer Connects scheduled for 2025. Designed to foster valuable supplier-retailer relationships, these exclusive sessions provide GIMA members with the opportunity to expand their networks and accelerate business growth through direct engagement with influential retail buyers.

This Buyer Connect event will focus on sourcing new and innovative product ranges for Hillier’s 2026 portfolio. Known for its commitment to innovation and sustainability, Hillier has been a Planet Mark-certified business since 2018, actively working to reduce its carbon footprint and implement environmentally responsible practices.

Hillier’s buying team is particularly interested in fresh, unique product ideas, as well as seasonal ranges for Autumn/Winter 2025, giving suppliers multiple opportunities to present their latest innovations to one of the UK’s most respected garden centre chains.

GIMA Membership Ambassador, Tony Kersey, said: “This Buyer Connect event is an invaluable opportunity for GIMA members to showcase their latest products to one of the garden sector’s most established and forward-thinking retailers. Hillier’s dedication to quality, sustainability, and product development makes them a key retail partner. By providing direct access to decision-making buyers, GIMA continues to help members unlock new business opportunities and drive long-term growth.”

How to participate:

  • Open to GIMA members and non-members: Each participating supplier will have a 25-minute appointment with the Hillier buying team. Additional slots can be booked for multiple product categories.
  • Attendance limit: A maximum of two representatives per company per session.
  • Cost: Free for GIMA members; £180 + VAT for non-members. No extra charges for multiple meetings.
  • Application deadline: Friday, 9th May 2025. Interested suppliers must complete an application form and submit it to info@gima.org.uk. Suppliers with multiple product categories should submit separate applications for each range. All applications are subject to approval by the Hillier team and confirmed meeting times will be communicated by the GIMA team in due course.
