Claire Bishop, Senior Houseplant Buyer at Dobbies, has been appointed as one of the Royal Horticultural Society Chair of Assessors, in recognition of her outstanding efforts over the past 12 years at Dobbies.
The prestigious position will see Claire supervising the moderation and assessors for multiple awards at the RHS Chelsea, Hampton Court Palace, and Tatton Park Flower Shows. This includes evaluating, grading, and guiding the judges, as well as ensuring consistency and fairness.
Claire is not new to the RHS; she has served on the assessment panels for the RHS Chelsea and Hampton Court Palace Flower Shows for the past seven years, most recently as panel lead for the last four years.
Claire's has been named one of Horticulture Week's 30 UK Indoor Plant/Houseplant Industry Leaders, and she’s been heavily involved in the launch and ongoing expansion of little dobbies, where 70% of the range is in her category.
Commenting on her new role, Claire said: “I'm honoured to be recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society and extremely proud to be working with such an important organisation. I can't wait to see the creativity and innovation this year's shows season bring.”
