A study group of Dutch perennial growers has been visiting some of the leading UK growers, including Hawkesmill Nurseries, to find out how growing and marketing techniques vary across differing sectors of the market.

The group, led by Ard Mulder of CNB-Newplants, are pictured at the Kenilworth HQ of Hawkesmill Nurseries.

Meanwhile, Hawkesmill Nurseries Sales Director Richard Evans says he was pleased with the overall response to their presence at the recent SWG event, a regional trade show for the South West.

“We met several larger garden centre buyers from the region plus several 'smaller' ones and other nurseries.

"There was an air of confidence and our plants were well received. Our early bird offer runs until October 31 and we are looking forward to new business allied to this.”
