‘Love Your Garden’s’ David Domoney and former Blue Peter gardener Chris Collins have been awarded honorary membership of the HTA for their services to the industry.

David helped to raise awareness of the potential for community gardening through his ‘Cultivation Street’ initiative, backed by the HTA, while Chris was the front man this summer for the ‘Love the Plot You’ve Got’ promotion’s round-Britain roadshow, developed by the Garden Industry Marketing Board with HTA support.

In conference presentations from each, delegates learned how both campaigns had given gardening massive consumer exposure and created significant benefits for the industry’s suppliers and retailers.
