Highly anticipated second Radley X RHS collection launches

After the success of their first collaboration in 2024, the Royal Horticultural Society and Radley have announced the arrival of their second special-edition collection of handbags and accessories, featuring brand-new items and designs.

Abloom with plants and flowers, the styles feature florals based on illustrations found in the RHS Lindley Collections – and take inspiration from one delightful source in particular: a beautiful 19th century children’s publication called The Alphabet of Flowers.

Published by Dean & Son in London in the 1850s, The Alphabet of Flowers is a children's alphabet in which each page is devoted to one letter – except for X, Y and Z, which are combined – along with a gorgeous flower illustration.

The illustrations in the book are reflected in Radley’s intricately crafted leather designs that feature appliqué, embossing and screen printing to bring to life the water iris, rose, lily, dahlia and more. And there’s a delightful extra touch by the Radley design team: the illustrations have been adapted to spell out the word ‘Radley’.

The new Radley X RHS collection is a celebration of the charity’s beautiful gardens and historical archives and includes superbly crafted leather bags, cross body phone holders, canvas totes, a card holder and even a handbag umbrella. This highly anticipated second Radley X RHS Collection was launched on 10 March and is available at Radley’s stores in London and Glasgow, online and at a number of well-known retailers and independent stockists.

Radley have been proud architects of luxurious British handbags and accessories for over 25 years and known for their leather expertise and enduring quality. Radley’s in-house design team are inspired by the natural world and expertly blend iconic design and exquisite craftsmanship.

Radley’s Chief Brand Officer Jackie Hay says: “Our customers adored the first Radley X RHS collection and are already responding with great enthusiasm to this gorgeous new range. The RHS brand and resources have once again collaborated with Radley’s design skills to create a floral-inspired collection that is distinctive and unique.”

Cathy Snow, RHS Licensing Manager, adds: “Given that the first Radley X RHS Collection was a sell-out success, it’s no surprise that a strong buzz has been generated around this eagerly awaited new range. The partnership has once more delivered high quality and craftsmanship combined with a gloriously original design which is already enjoying an amazing consumer response. We’re delighted to be again partnering with this industry-leading fashion name.”
