Suppliers get influential at The Garden Media Guild Awards

Johnsons Lawn Seeds, Gardena, Miracle-Gro and Westland were among the garden centre suppliers who sponsored categories in The Garden Media Guild Awards 2023, which took place at The Savoy Hotel last week.

 

Gardena sponsored The Peter Seabrook Practical Book of the Year Award, which was won by Emma Crawforth for “50 Things to do with Plants.”

 

Stihl were the sponsors of Garden Book of the Year won by Shahina Chaznafar for “Plants of the Quar’an.”

 

Johnsons Lawn Seeds sponsored the Garden Publication of the Year which was Gardens Illustrated.

 

Cobra were the sponsors of Practical +Journalist of the Year who was Benedict Vanheems.

 

Linda Petrons from Greenfingers Charity presented the Gordon Rae Photographer of the year Award to Bennett Smith.

 

Guild Committee member Kimberley Hornby presented the Portfolio Photographer of the Year Award to Molly Hollman.

 

HTA President Alan Down announced the Radio Broadcast or Podcast of the year winner, which was Talking Gardens by Gardens Illustrated.

 

Evergreen Garden Care, under their Miracle-Gro brand, sponsored The Alan Titchmarsh New Talent of the Year Award, won by Bob Askew.

 

Past Guild Chair, Val Bourne won Digital Gardening Writer of the Year, sponsored by Honda.

 

Thompson & Morgan were sponsors of Individual Social Media Influencer of the Year who was Rekha Mistry for Rekha's Garden & Kitchen.

 

Brand Social Media Influencer of the Year was sponsored by The Garden Press Event, presented by GIMA’s Vicky Nuttall.  The winner was Borde Hill Garden.

 

Finally, Barbara Segall was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award, sponsored by Westland Horticulture.
