Growing media sales are 43% above average for April

Growing media sales of the Top 50 Bestselling lines in the GTN Bestsellers Epos data in April 2021 were 43% above the average for the month between 2014 and 2019. Phew!

And that’s in a month when the weather has been distinctly cold. In a ‘normal cold start to the year’, like in April 2018, we’d have been writing about slow sales of growing media, not such enormous growth as we see right now.

Highlights of thew week were:

  • Westland Multipurpose Compost with John Innes 50 litres spends a second week back at No 1.
  • Evergreen Garden Care Miracle-Gro All Purpose Compost 56 litres is the highest chart climber at No 31.
  • Melcourt SylvaGrow Peat Free Multipurpose 50 litres is a re-entry at No 41.
