Gardeners are battling to keep the slugs at bay, a fact that’s evident in the GTN Bestsellers Garden Products chart.

There are seven lines in the Top 50 this week with volumes up 64% on the same period last year. 

They are still on the increase as week-on-week sales show a 10% rise from last week.

• Bayer Bio Slug & Snail Killer (1kg) is the longest serving item in the Bestsellers chart.
• Westland Eraza Slug Killer has seen good sales and moves into the Top 10.
• Garden lighting is another good category, with the Revolution Chinese Solar Party Lantern being the highest re-entry.
