Garden centres with catering operations will be tapping into catering best practice this month at the fourth HTA Garden Centre Catering Conference on February 28.
The one-day conference at the NEC in Birmingham promises vision and inspiration to transform food and drink into profit within a catering or garden centre business.
The event will take a view of catering best practice from inside and outside the garden centre sector.
The HTA’s catering consultants, Chris Brown of Turpin Smale and Neville Stein of Ovation, have worked to present practical and proven ideas that delegates can go on to implement in their café or restaurant.
Chris Brown, also the award winning author of the Great Cafés blog, offers an insight into his talk.
“‘The Wonderful word of Cafés’ will challenge operatives and owners to question ‘Are their cafés up to scratch?’ We will look at some role model operations outside of the garden centre industry and discuss the role of design, food and humour in the most successful UK café operations.”
While Chris will highlight examples from the fast moving world of cafés outside of garden centres, Neville will use industry case studies to detail how to reduce costs and be more profitable.
The conference is a must for anyone involved in garden centre catering.
