Fewer plant sales despite more ‘normal’ weather

The volume of the Top 50 plant genera and groupings for the whole of 2019 dropped by 3% on 2018. So, after the tipsy turvy year of 2018 a year that was more “normal” weather wise resulted in fewer plant sales.

  • The Top 3 plants for the year were Zonal Geraniums, Primula and Cyclamen.
  • Begonias moved in the popularity stakes to be the 6th most bought plant of the year.
  • The biggest increase of the year was seen from Heucheras.
