The good

When completing general purpose gardening tasks such as digging or pruning, these gloves provided a very secure grip and were flexible. They kept the hands dry when clearing damp leaves and bark, and the soft interior lining made them extra comfortable.

We submerged them in water and were glad to see that they were entirely waterproof. The grip and flexibility also remained unaffected by the gloves being wet. Easy to wipe clean, neither their colour nor shape deteriorated following a wash.

Take note

Unfortunately, these gloves will not protect the hands when handling prickly plants. In both tests, they offered no protection from rose thorns and holly leaves. Although comfortable, they weren't as snug or warm as some others in the ClipGlove range. We found that after prolonged use, our hands got cold.

GHI Expert Verdict

These gloves are a great option for general purpose gardening, but especially damp work. They offer a very secure grip and the carabiner clip is a great addition for those prone to misplacing their gloves.
