Javado bring New peat-free houseplant concept to the UK

Plant nursery MDK has worked for years on the ideal green houseplants. Now the time has come to market the concept in the UK and Ireland under the brand name 'Beautanic Lifestyle'. The unique cultivation method and ingenious cultivation pot ensure strong, healthy plants that are easy to care for.

The special roots form the basis. The plants are grown hydroponically and are therefore peat-free. A completely different root system is created. These are called water roots. A common problem with the care of plants is that they are often kept too dry or too wet. You do not have this problem with water roots. Because they thrive by always standing in a layer of water, you only have to top up the water reservoir when the water meter indicates it.

Grower Marcel Duijvesteijn has left nothing to chance. The plants are delivered in a pot made of recycled material with a water reservoir and water level indicator that he designed himself. The lava rock granules in which the plant is rooted give the plant more strength and oxygen than standard hydro granules. Moreover, the lava rock granules are a sustainable natural product. The professional blend of powdered nutrients has been made available to the consumer in small jars. This so-called super food ensures very healthy plants and extra turnover for the garden centre.

All benefits are clearly visible on the shop floor thanks to the garden centre display and banner supplied free of charge. Plant exporter Javado UK takes care of the distribution.

The first garden centres have already received the concept and the response is very enthusiastic. Julie Aylett (Aylett Nurseries) spontaneously sent this email message: “We have only just received the plants and display and have already sold 9 large plants, 9 pots of super food, 3 bags of lava rock granules and 2 pots. The team are very excited by this response.”

Marcel Duijvesteijn: “Consumers feel insecure when it comes to purchasing the large houseplant they really want. They are afraid that they will not be able to keep the plant alive. With a plant from Beautanic Lifestyle and a matching jar of super food, they can effortlessly enjoy their purchase.”
