Garden Wise aims to raise £5,000 for Marie Curie through daff feeder sales
The UK’s top garden centre is aiming to raise £5,000 for cancer care charity Marie Curie through the sale of Gardman Daffodil-design bird feeder dishes. Garden Wise at Dumfries, which earned the title of Britain’s best garden centre by achieving the top score in the Garden Centre Association’s annual inspections, hopes to sell 2,500 feeders, with £2 from each sale going to the charity. Last year, sales of Gardman’s Poppy feeders at Garden Wise helped the Dumfries branch of Royal British Legion Scotland raise £7,000. The 72cm-high painted cast iron feeders are suitable for all bird seed types, mealworm, peanut bites and suet treats and can also be used as water dishes. They feature a metal stake for positioning in flower borders or lawns. The SRP is £6.99.
