Happy Easter...thanks to crafts day and market

In Cambridgeshire, Oaks Garden Centre in Chatteris (recently revamped with help from BBC’s retail guru Alex Polizzi in her TV programme ‘The Fixer’) staged a day of crafts and activities at an Easter market.

Scores of customers braved freezing temperatures to shop for speciality cheeses, beers, jewellery and arts and crafts from 30 stalls.

David White, who helps run Oaks, said: “We were so pleased to see people turn out in the cold to enjoy the day - it has really got the new-look Oaks rolling.”

Proceeds from the market’s charity fund raiser will go towards providing pets for the garden centre’s children’s club.
