Barton Grange Garden Centre near Preston have notched up their fifth consecutive Destination Garden Centre of the Year award in the Garden Centre Association’s annual inspection audits.
The result was announced at the GCA’s 50th anniversary dinner in Brighton last night, in the presence of 17 past chairmen of the association.
Barton Grange MD Guy Topping led 15 members of his team (including his father, Eddie Topping, who founded the original business) on to the stage and announced them individually after they had been presented with the trophy by actor and comedian Hal Cruttenden.
Barton Grange topped the destination centre inspection scores by what was described as the smallest of margins, ahead of Bents Garden & Home of Glazebury and Burston Garden Centre of St Albans.
