Plant sales, driven by young veg plants, are performing really well against last year but let’s not get carried away, year to date we are now only 3% up on 2017 sales levels and the first three weeks of March are 24% down on 2017.
Young Tomato plant sales doubled week on week to move up to be the second bestselling plant of the week, outselling everything else apart from Primulas.
Petunias also doubled in sales to move up to No 6 in the GTN Plants Chart.
