MAKE-A-WISH
With over 20,000 children in the UK living with life threatening conditions at any one time, The Make-A-Wish Foundation® grants magical wishes to these young people. Whether a wish is to be a policeman or a princess for a day, own the latest computer equipment, meet a favourite celebrity or just enjoy some time away from home with their family gives so much enjoyment to a child’s life and provides memories that do last a lifetime.
Chief Executive, Neil Jones comments, “John has been a great supporter of Make-A-Wish over the years and a key member of our Winter Ball Committee which has raised over 6 million pounds to grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life threatening conditions’
The work of this charity is never ending with the aim being to ensure that every one of these children is able to experience the magic and joy of a Make-A-Wish wish.

THE FENCE CLUB
Founded in 1950 The Fence Club raises funds for children’s hospices, children’s homes and hospitals. In addition to the £100,000 or so it raises each year from the functions it organises, several lorry loads of toys are donated and distributed to worthy charities across the UK.
THE LOOMBA FOUNDATION
Started in 1998 by Lord Loomba, who was brought up by his widowed mother, the Loomba Foundation now educates 3,000 children in India, being brought up by poor widowed mothers. Each child is given a 5 year scholarship by the charity, whilst taking care of the family's needs. Children living in poverty, who aspire for an education are found by the schools in India and are introduced to the charity. The Loomba Foundation vet them and provide the necessary education.
