Rumours that a former Wyevale Garden Centres executive is about to join B&Q’s gardening division have been gaining ground over the past week.

A spokesman at the B&Q media office said he had heard nothing and could therefore neither confirm nor deny the story. “Announcements of that kind are often made early in the month so I suggest you call back in a week or so,” he told GTN Xtra.
