Another record mid May week for Growing Media sales sees the GTN Bestellers year on year volume gap slim down to 6.8% on last year and sit at 4.2% up on the same point in 2016. Thankfully gardeners are still improving soils, planting in pots and generally getting growing again now that the weather has improved.
Westland Cambark Chunky Chip Bark, 60 litres is the only new entry of the week, in at No 40 after more than doubling sales.
Peat Free composts move up the chart as less keen gardeners buy growing media: Westland New Horizon Multi-Purpose Compost, 50 litres moves up to No 20 and Scotts Miracle-Gro Eco Sense Peat Free Compost, 56 litres is a re-entry at No 33.
Westland Multipurpose + John Innes, 40 litres, is the highest climber, up 21 places to No 26.
