West End scoops Haskins Barista Championship
Haskins Barista Champs 2015 - GTN04.JPG

Haskins Garden Centres held their annual Barista Championships last week at the West End, Southampton, centre.  Organised in conjunction with Costa Coffee, (Haskins are a "Proud to Serve" Costa partner), baristas from the groups four restuarants, and their General Managers took part in the competition on Wednesday evening.

The winner of the Barista Challenge 2015 was Hannah Rodgers from the West End centre; "This is my 2nd time in the final and I've been working hard on my signature drink, a cherry bakewell blast.  I'm delighted to win such a fun event."

the winner of the General Managers Challenge was Nick Joad from Roundstone.  Matt Hill, General Manager from Ferndown told GTN Xtra; "This is a brilliant event.  I wish I had practised a couple of more times! This is a great way for us managers to empathise with our fantastic baristas and see first hand the marvellous work they do every day."
