Durstons in demand at Glee

Durston Garden Products Ltd ended Glee 2026 on a high, rounding off what was an exceptional show for the family‑run business.

Across all three days at the NEC, the Durstons stand saw a constant flow of buyers, garnered strong interest from key retail players and enjoyed a wealth of high‑quality conversations that underline Durstons’ growing momentum in the market.

The heritage Somerset compost producer went into Glee with plenty to talk about after an exciting year of growth and hot on the heels of bagging the Best Retail Product award at Four Oaks at the start of the month.

Retailers responded positively to the company’s refreshed identity, expanded capability and the clarity of its three‑tier range of growing media within the Advanced, Traditional and Everyday collections. Interest was strong across the board, with buyers recognising the breadth and balance of Durstons’ comprehensive offer and the confidence that comes with proven product performance.

Their award‑winning Advanced Tub & Basket Compost, fresh from its Four Oaks success, continued to draw attention throughout the show, reinforcing Durstons’ reputation for dependable, results‑driven innovation. The increasingly popular Advanced Houseplant Compost also continues to gain traction with retailers looking to strengthen their indoor‑plant offer. However, the enthusiasm extended well beyond individual products, with retailers engaging deeply across the full portfolio and discussing new opportunities for the season ahead.

This year’s Glee also marks a pivotal moment for the business, with Durstons completing its move to Eclipse Works – a major investment that strengthens production capacity, enhances logistics and positions the company to meet increased demand from customers. The new site represents a significant step in Durstons’ evolution, giving the business the space and capability to scale sustainably and support retailers with even greater reliability.

Sales Director Dan Durston said: “We had an outstanding show reconnecting with old customers and meeting new faces. We saw a lot of big players on the first day alone and had some fantastic enquiries, which was a great start. The win at Four Oaks definitely generated a bit more interest ahead of the show but we also found that people were actively making a beeline for us and were really keen to talk about the changes we’ve made. With Eclipse Works now up and running, we’re ready for the next chapter.”

As the team follows up leads from the show, more listings are already likely to be in the pipeline. The conversations held at Glee reflect a supplier that is not only trusted but actively sought out by retailers looking for partners who can deliver quality, consistency and long‑term value.

Durstons left Glee 2026 with even greater momentum, confidence and a clear message: the company is primed for further growth, ready to meet rising demand, and firmly focused on supporting customers through another busy season.
