Promising year-end sales figures predicted by the GTN All Products Index

Chart

With autumn gardening sales so buoyant and reports of brisk sales from early opening Christmas displays, the GTN All Products Index now predicts a year end volume up 0.6% on last year assuming we don’t have periods of prolonged bad weather in the run up to Christmas.

More good news came from the fact that sales of bestselling gardening products this month are running at 30% up on last year and 9% up on September 2010.

And those increases in core gardening activity related sales are contributing to an overall sales volume position that we now predict will reach the year end slightly up on 2011.

What are your expectations for sales during October?  Let us know if you agree with our GTN Bestsellers prediction – are we being too optimistic or under estimating sales potential?  E-mail trevor.pfeiffer@tgcmc.co.uk
