Kevin will run half marathon in yellow wellies for charities
GTN Xtra Promotion

LBC (ULTRALIGHT) Boots director Kevin Burgess is embarking on a fundraising effort for two worthy causes, running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April 2026 in his yellow wellies.

Kevin Burgess will be raising money for Young Lives vs Cancer and for Greenfingers Charity.

Kevin said: “2026 will mark my 40th year in remission from Hodgins Lymphoma, I started my treatment at Bristol Children's Hospital at just 15 that lasted over 14 months, finally finishing my treatment not long after my 17th birthday.

“A few years later I met my wife (Kendra) we would go to outpatients appointments together; told I may not be able to have children due to the treatment I had received, beating the odds we now have two wonderful children – Charlie and Imogen –  plus a beautiful granddaughter Elora.”
