Sales of growing media picked up considerably after the snow but still fell way short of last year’s levels for the same week, down 51%.
That’s most likely because of soil that is still either too cold or now waterlogged.
As a result the big movers were multipurpose composts with John Innes, which will mainly be used for seed sowing and transplanting of early seedlings.
Highlights were:
- Scotts Miracle-Gro Organic Choice Premium Garden Soil was the highest re-entry.
- Westland Multi Purpose with John Innes, 60 litres, is the highest new entry this week, in at No 6.
- Scotts Levington Multipurpose + John Innes, 56 litres, moves to No 1.
- Westland Jack’s Magic All Purpose Compost, 60 litres, moves up 2 places to No 3.
