Westland Horticulture launch new fund to support The Colegrave Seabrook Foundation

The Colegrave Seabrook Foundation is benefiting from a substantial donation from Westland Horticulture, who have launched a Named Fund to assist the Foundation with their work supporting students studying horticulture.

Keith Nicholson, Marketing Director of Westland Horticulture, said: “At Westland, we are proud to invest in the future.  We recognise our responsibility in nurturing talented and passionate individuals and helping to promote the wealth of fantastic career opportunities in the horticulture and gardening industry.  Westland has always been forward-thinking, and it feels only natural to help young people grow their talents which will, in turn, help us to shape the future of our industry.  We are therefore proud to support the outstanding work that Colegrave Seabrook Foundation is undertaking to support students studying horticulture.  The newly created Westland Fund will offer essential support for students striving for a career within horticulture and provide the best opportunities today.”

Chair of the Colegrave Seabrook Foundation, Jeff Colegrave, added: “It is very gratifying Westland Horticulture understand the importance of supporting students who are studying horticulture. These students are the future of our industry and companies supplying any sector of the horticulture should be recognising that, directly or indirectly, their success is dependent on having well trained, committed staff, with a passion for horticulture, working either for them or their customers. We are extremely grateful for this support from Westland, which will help us to support even more students and assist with our ongoing work to promote horticulture as a worthwhile, satisfying and rewarding career.”

The Named Fund scheme, set up by the Foundation,  incorporates significant donations from companies and individuals. It is one of the ways to help support the work of the charity who, through colleges, are training students in horticultural skills to grow their careers in the industry. You too could be backing the work of the Foundation and to find out more go to ‘Supporters’ page of their website, talk to one of the Trustees or contact via info@colegraveseabrookfoundation.org.uk
