Zest invests in future growth with senior team appointments

Zest Outdoor Living has strengthened its senior team with a series of key appointments designed to support the company’s next phase of growth, product development, supply chain improvement and customer-focused development.

The appointments include John Gomersall, who joined the business in April as Commercial Sales Manager, Darren Hill, who joined Zest last year as Supply Chain Manager, and Reza Yaghoubi, who was appointed Strategic Marketing and Product Lead in 2025.

Together, the appointments reflect Zest’s continued investment in leadership, commercial capability, product development and operational improvement as the business looks to build on its position as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of sustainable timber garden products.

Commenting on the expansion of the senior team, Andrew Baker, Managing Director at Zest Outdoor Living, said, “These appointments are an important part of strengthening the business for the future. Zest operates in a competitive and fast-moving market, so it is vital that we continue to invest in the right people, capability and leadership across the business.

“John, Darren and Reza each bring valuable experience and skills, and their appointments will help us improve how we develop products, support customers, manage operations and respond to the changing needs of the market.”

John Gomersall joins Zest as Commercial Sales Manager. In his role, John will focus on strengthening Zest’s sales approach, supporting customer relationships and helping the business continue to develop strong, effective partnerships with garden centres, retailers, builders’ merchants and buying groups across the UK.

Darren Hill joined Zest in 2025 as Supply Chain Manager. Since joining the business, Darren has been focused on improving supply chain performance, supporting stock availability, strengthening supplier relationships and helping Zest respond more effectively to customer demand.

Reza Yaghoubi was appointed Strategic Marketing and Product Lead in 2025. In his role, Reza is responsible for product strategy, marketing direction, range development and customer insight, supporting Zest’s ambition to bring relevant, well-designed and commercially strong products to market.

Andrew added, “Our priority is to make sure Zest remains easy to do business with, innovative in its product offer and responsive to the challenges facing our customers. Strengthening the team gives us the leadership capacity to focus on what matters most - better products, stronger partnerships, improved service and long-term sustainable growth.”

Zest Outdoor Living was established in 2005 and supplies high-quality, sustainable timber garden products to garden centres, online retailers, builders’ merchants and major purchasing groups across the UK. Its range includes outdoor entertaining products, grow your own, decorative garden structures and garden furniture.
