Balmy weather is great for growing media sales
More gardening activity than normal for the time of year lead to a 4.25% increase in Top 50 Growing Media sales volumes last week compared to 2017.
Garden soil accounted for plenty of sales as gardeners took advantage of the balmy weather to get some more projects completed before Christmas.
Highlights were:
- Westland Top Soil, 35 litres, remained at No 2 in the GTN Chart.
- Evergreen Garden Care Miracle-Gro Organic Choice Premium Garden Soil, 25 litres, increased sales to move up five places to No 8.
- Kelkay RHS Horticultural Alpine Grit, Large Packs, were the highest re-entry for the week, back in at No 16.
