Plant sales rallied as garden centre footfalls reached peak levels pre-Christmas to deliver sales up 13% on the same week last year. Poinsettia sales soared to reach No 1 but didn’t quite hit the peaks of last year. Perhaps this year’s peak Poinsettia sales will come over the next two weeks.
Highlights were:
Christmas Cacti, Schlumbergera, increased sales by 7% to move up to No 7 in our chart.
Galanthus in the green made their first winter showing in the Top 50, four weeks later than last year, re-entering at No 25.
