Christmas sales 3.4% up – on course for a record
 
Christmas is on schedule to be a record breaker with sales in the GTN Bestsellers Christmas Top 50 up 7% last week year on year to make our volume sales index up 3.4% year on year. 

Notable chart movers this week are Christmas sweets, robin decorations and magic snow – even though we’ve had a cold snap people are having to use imitations rather than have the real stuff!

Some of the star performers this week include:
  • Swift Robin Decoration on a clip is the highest climber, moving up 25 places to No 4.
  • The highest re-entry is Teleview Marketing Magic Snow at No 23.
  • The highest new entry is Premier Tree Decorations Colpour Your Own Characters at No 25.
