Zest smashes annual fundraising target

Garden furniture, grow your own and decorative garden structure specialist, Zest has smashed its fundraising target in support of the British Heart Foundation (BHF), its chosen charity for 2022, presenting the BHF with a cheque for £14,500. The original goal was £10,000.

A presentation took place at the Woodworks Garden Centre, in Mold, which like Zest is part of the P&A Group.  Steve Morgan, Managing Director of Zest commented: “We’re all thrilled to have raised £14,500 for the British Heart Foundation this year. Every year employees throw themselves into fundraising and this year was no exception.  During the year, some employees have also taken part in a CPR training course offered by the British Heart Foundation which was fantastic to see.”

From the Manchester marathon and Clwydian Three Peaks challenge to a month-long ‘dechox’ to a quiz night, cake bake and ‘wear red’ day, Zest personnel have put heart and soul into raising money for this worthwhile cause.  The British Heart Foundation helps and supports 340,000 people living with heart and circulatory diseases in Wales.

Donna Stokes, fundraising manager for the British Heart Foundation, who accepted the cheque added: A huge thank you to everyone who has made a donation to the British Heart Foundation this year. The money raised will help the BHF fund vital research into heart and circulatory diseases like heart attacks, stroke and vascular dementia, and the risk factors that can cause them, such as diabetes and high blood pressure."

Over the last twelve years, Zest employees and their P&A Group colleagues have raised more than £137,000 for a variety of charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospices, Cancer Research UK, Action for Children, Alzheimer’s Society, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Meningitis Now.
