The uncertainty surrounding Brexit may be causing problems in certain business areas but in garden centres sales are running at an all time high for January. The GTN Bestsellers All Sales Index for last week was 15.2% up on week 3 last year.
Early Bird offers are being snapped up like never before. Some of the sales may be gardeners stockpiling in case of a no deal Brexit, but as centres are also reporting early furniture and BBQ sales and plant sales are up 23% so far this year it could just be that people really want to make the most of their gardens during this year of uncertainty.
