Blue Diamond acquires Harlestone Heath and Huntingdon Garden Centres from Dobbies

Blue Diamond has announced the acquisition of two Dobbies Garden Centres – Harlestone Heath and Huntingdon – a move that will push the company’s turnover to over £400 million, an industry first, no other garden centre group has achieved this milestone and therefore cementing its leadership in the garden centre industry.

Both Harlestone Heath and Huntingdon will undergo major refurbishment work, including a complete overhaul of their layouts and new shopfitting. These transformations will position them as go-to garden centre destinations, with Harlestone Heath expected to reopen at the end of March, while Huntingdon will follow at the beginning of April.  The opening of these two centres will also create new opportunities for local job seekers.  For more information about the Blue Diamond experience, visit bluediamond.gg.

Alan Roper, Managing Director of Blue Diamond, shared, “Harlestone Heath and Huntingdon both offer great potential, and we’re pleased to bring our unique retail experience to these locations. With our vision for their transformation, we look forward to delivering a newly enhanced shopping experience that will resonate with our customers.”

Blue Diamond also looks forward to further growth, with an additional acquisition planned for 10th March, when the Aylesbury site (formerly known as World’s End) will join the Blue Diamond family.
