Old Railway Line celebrates Christmas success

The Old Railway Line Garden Centre has been recognised as the third best Christmas display in the UK. Judged in the Garden Centre category of the Garden Centre Association’s annual display competition, this prestigious award highlights the garden centre's outstanding festive displays, further cementing its reputation as a destination for Christmas inspiration.

Retail and Events Manager, Matt Lewis, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to receive this recognition for our Christmas displays. A great deal of time and effort goes into creating these magical experiences, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see our customers enjoying them.”

The Old Railway Line's Christmas displays have become a local tradition, with thousands of visitors flocking to the garden centre each year to experience the festive magic. The displays, which include a beautifully curated range of seasonal products, are free to explore, making it a perfect destination for families and Christmas shoppers alike.

Peter Burks, CEO of the Garden Centre Association (GCA), praised the centre's exceptional display: “All the entrants were judged on general ambience, creativity, stock range, flow and tidiness. Customer service was also taken into consideration. Everyone who entered created some fabulous displays this year and really showed some flair. Those I saw on my travels were very impressive and had a real ‘wow factor’.”

The Old Railway Line Garden Centre continues to be a must-visit destination this Christmas, with its award-winning displays offering inspiration and festive cheer. The garden centre is open daily, and visitors are invited to explore the stunning Christmas displays in person.
