Phostrogen launches natural disease and pest defence garden solutions for 2023

The iconic British plant food brand, Phostrogen is set to introduce two new products for the 2023 season with the launch of Phostrogen Bug Plant Defence and Phostrogen Fungus Plant Defence, helping consumers protect their plants against a range of common garden pests and diseases.

Suitable for use on both ornamentals and edible plants, Phostrogen Bug Plant Defence is an organic preventative and curative spray for use in advance of an infestation, providing protection against pests including Greenfly Blackfly, Whitefly, Codling Moth and Flea Beetle.

The new Phostrogen Fungus Plant Defence features a natural formulation which helps to build a natural barrier against common issues many gardeners face, such as Black spot, powdery mildew, Potato Blight, Leaf spot and Rust.

With convenient, ready to use spray bottles, the new products make protecting plants easy and practically effortless. By simply spraying plants with Phostrogen Fungus Plant Defence and Phostrogen Bug Plant Defence, infestations and disease can be prevented, saving gardeners from being faced with damaged plants and lengthy treatment programmes if left unprotected.

Having welcomed a range of organic garden fertilisers to its product portfolio just last season, the latest launches will further allow retailers to meet the growing demand for organic, natural gardening products while offering a solution for every scenario, whether it is plant nutrition or defence against disease and pests.

As well as the two new product launches, the popular household brand, Toprose, will also be welcomed into the Phostrogen family, featuring a new contemporary and eye-catching packaging to complement the fresh Phostrogen rebrand which was unveiled last season.

Well-known and loved for its original All Purpose Plant Food, which has been feeding British gardens for over 60 years, and now also for its popular organic range, the new products will offer consumers high-quality solutions with the trust and reliability of which Phostrogen is known for by green fingered enthusiasts.

James Ramnought, Marketing Director for SBM Life Science, commented: “We are delighted to introduce two new products to market this season, as well as welcoming Toprose to the Phostrogen® brand, further strengthening our offering in the gardening space.

“As a much-loved and trusted plant fertiliser brand, the latest addition to Phostrogen’s portfolio will enable our retail partners to provide a solution for their customer’s every need, whether it is feeding and nutrition through to preventing problems caused by pests and disease.”

To support the new product launches, Phostrogen will introduce a range of eye-catching in-store point of sale display units designed to command space, attract interest and offer consumers everything they need for their gardening task in one place, whether it be to grow more vegetables or brighter blooms.
