The AMES Companies’ gearing up for first delivery of new-for-2024 stock

The AMES Companies is about to see its multi-million-pound investment at its Pollington site in East Yorkshire come to fruition as its updated 60,000sq ft warehouse welcomes the first delivery of 2024 stock.

As part of a £3million investment plan at Pollington, the final racking and shelving is being put in place in the repurposed and fully-refurbished paving production hangar and the onsite team remains busy behind the scenes to ensure a smooth transition. With multiple brands now housed under one roof – including Kelkay, Woodshaw, and the new-for-2024 AMES Tools brand – as well as a new operations head leading the way, following the appointment of David Wright, the sales and operations teams are currently completing 2024 forecasts to ensure that retailers have exactly what they need when they need it most. To support this, the AMES Companies’ newest warehouse, alongside its existing facilities, will operate a continual fill process. This means multiple benefits for retail customers, including near 100% stock availability throughout the year ahead.

Optimum stock holding is just the beginning. Investment in the Pollington site will also offer retailers the opportunity for consolidated deliveries and cross-category ordering. And, if that’s not enough, they can also access true UK market-firsts through the AMES’ associated global manufacturing expertise and the exciting launch of the brand-new AMES Tool brand, as well as access to heritage brands with a proven track record for driving sales.

Paul North, Managing Director at the AMES Companies, said: “We’re on the brink of big things and the incoming stock is just the beginning. From our new warehouse and exciting diversification into new product categories, to new manufacturing and logistic partnerships, we’re continually investing into the vision we have for the AMES Companies and its UK-brand portfolio. There is no question that season 24 is looking good, and we cannot wait to have our customers join us on this journey.”
