Grovewell Garden Centres confirmed the acquisition of their fourth Centre at Hamstreet near Ashford, previously a Wyevale store, on Thursday and they’re open for business.
All existing staff will stay on to help build and grow the Centre, Director Edward Boult says, “We are extremely pleased and excited to add Hamstreet to our family of Centres. We have inherited a fantastic and supportive team and we are very much looking forward to expanding and upgrading the site over the next few years.”
Tenterden Deputy Manager Tim Law who is assisting with the integration of Hamstreet to Grovewell talks of the plans to upgrade and modernise the site, “We aim to build on the success and reputation of Tenterden, Canterbury and Folkestone Garden Centres. We’ve been overwhelmed by the support from staff and locals so far and I’m really looking forward to seeing the Centre develop.”
Grovewell Garden Centres will now comprise Hamstreet Garden Centre near Ashford, Folkestone Garden Centre at Hawkinge, Canterbury Garden Centre & Tenterden. The latter, a family owned business, has been trading under Director Edward Boult and his team since April 1999. Purpose built Canterbury Garden Centre opened Easter 2009, followed by Folkestone Garden Centre formally the McFarlanes Garden & Butterfly Nursery in April 2016.
