Kerley Primulas win RHS First Class Certificates

At last weeks Herbaceous Committee Meeting, held during the RHS Orchid Show and Plant Fair, four of the Kerley families Primula Belarina Series were awarded the RHS First Class Certificates. The culitvars receiving this award are Primula Belarina ‘Buttercup’, P. B. ‘Nectarine’ (above), P. B ‘Snow’ and P. B. Valentine’.

The specimens put before the committee were also given an RHS Cultural Commendation for being so well grown. Two Cultivars in the Belarina Series have already sold over a million plants and these awards will help increase sales both at home and abroad. There are pictures of these cultivars on the Kerley web site that can be used for POS material.

GTN Xtra understands that certain people within the RHS are keen to reinvigorate the RHS Awards for plants including First Class Certificates, Awards of Merit and Cultural Commendations for plants put before members of RHS Committees. It is central to these committees aims to promote and bring to the attention of gardeners good garden subjects.
