Gorilla Glue returns to TV

Following the success of its inaugural advertising campaign, the UK arm of the US adhesive brand, Gorilla Glue, is returning to TV for the second phase of a heavyweight campaign across a breadth of channels, including Dave, Sky Sports and Discovery.

Using the iconic 'Gorilla' character once more, the first phase saw a combination of 20 and 30 second adverts airing from February for an initial three months and this second phase will be live for the month of June.  The above the line campaign will also be under-pinned with a strategic digital advertising campaign across national titles.

European Sales Director, Simon Damp said: "Taking Gorilla to the small screen last year was a bold move but one that paid dividends for the brand and the objective of increasing brand penetration has worked.  The overarching goal of increasing brand awareness through this medium was also achieved and we look forward to bolstering this campaign with more upcoming marketing activity."

With a buoyant adhesive and sealant market being seen across the UK, coupled with the increase in the homeowner DIY market, Gorilla Glue will also be further enhancing its range with new and innovative products in the coming months.

Simon Damp added: "The Gorilla Glue brand has become synonymous with fixing the toughest jobs on planet earth and it is this strength and durability the range of products possess that has ensured the brand is now a must have in any toolbox.  I am really pleased with the way Gorilla Glue has grown and look forward to seeing the results of the next wave of advertising with the new commercials."

2014 alone saw the company launch a total of three new products into the growing sector: Gorilla Super Glue Gel (RRP £6.99), White Gorilla Tape (RRP £10.49) and Gorilla Clear Repair Tape (RRP £6.99) which won gold in the DIY category at the 'National New Product Awards' at the Totally DIY and Totally Tools Show 2014.
